Curriculum: Scenography 2016
AimThe general aim of the MA curriculum of Scenography is the further development of the professional scenographic skills and knowledge and their application in practice.
Learning outcomesGraduated student: - has in-depth knowledge of traits in contemporary field of scenography to author production projects as visual directors, script writers, costume and set designers, etc.; - has an ability to express unique and innovative scenographic concepts professionally deploying the professional vocabulary; - understands the process of a film and theatre project and the central role of the scenographer within it; - solves specific production-related problems individually and collectively; - has ability to initiate innovative hybrid production projects on smaller and bigger scale; - has necessary standard of professional theoretical and practical knowledge in order to continue the studies on doctoral level.
StructureThe study programme consists of general theoretical subjects (18 ECTS), speciality subjects (54 ECTS), optional subjects (15 ECTS) and master's thesis (30 ECTS).
AdmissionIndividuals with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for the Master’s study. Detailed information on Estonian Academy of Arts website www.artun.ee
Graduation conditionsThe curriculum has been fully completed, if the student has passed the mandatory courses provided in the curriculum and complied with the other requirements of the curriculum, and has defended the Master's thesis.
