Mondays, 17:30 - 19:45 Nunne 16 Interior Architecture woodshop class. Group size 5/2 students. Course lector: Martin Saar and Martin Kuum AimTarget of the class is to encourage students to reuse scrap wood and wood leftovers. Through the excercise students learn different types of wood, finishing options, elementary woodwork and basic machinery in woodshop class. Beside woodwork, exercise aims to develop students’ compositsional and colour related skills.
General descriptionTo use scrap wood or wood leftovers in either asthetical or practical way in a composition.
Study outcomeStudents learn to use wood in optimal way and acquire neccessary skills for independent work. In the process, one should gain the knowledge of different types of wood and understand the variety of wood finishing options. Workflow develops students’ compositional thinking through texture and colour of the material.
